Bouquet for thy

This colorful painting reveals deep and hidden symbolism within each stroke. Three simple flowers, somewhat retro in style, represent the body, the mind and the soul. Together these colorful blossoms are united into a bouquet of completeness and wholeness. A perfect present to give and receive which reminds us daily of the gifts we so often take for granted.

The first flower incorporates each of the seven species, (wheat, barley, grapes, figs, pomegranates, olives and dates), detailing them colorfully around a center of seeds, symbolizing future potential. This is the body, a physical gift, given to us to enjoy and nurture.

The second flower incorporates each of the sacred letters of the Alef-Bet. The power of language empowers the mind with endless opportunities for learning and growing. The center depicts 12 gates to Yerushalayim, our holiest of places, which resides within each of our hearts.

The third flower is embellished with melody, psalms and praise. Song is nourishment for the soul and also comes from the soul. Halleluyah is hidden throughout each petal in text and in the musical notes of Psalm 150, the last of the psalms.
