Home Blessings

May our home be blessed…

We all need heavenly blessing to ease the flow of daily life, in the care of our beloved ones, and the wellbeing of our homes. Many versions of heavenly blessings exist, some of them from old traditional sources, others composed by people living amongst us; all of them seek to express the needs and wishes for a better life, for the solving of problems, overcoming difficulties and the healing of body and soul. We want to improve ourselves, to deepen our understanding of our children and spouses, their needs, their shortcomings; we strain to forgive, to avoid anger, to offer love, to embrace our family with warmth and tenderness. Words of blessing, in their artistic ornamented setting, framed on our wall, add beauty and depth to our daily routine. A gift to give or receive, it is a reminder to ourselves to pray that we should be able to take the extra step toward happiness, to make our home a fortress of emotional and physical safety for its dwellers.
