Ketubah - Peacocks, Papercut

Two royal birds, magnificent peacocks almost kissing, stand under a decorated arch with the words "I am my beloved and my beloved is mine". The arch rests upon two palatial columns, creating a grand doorway to the new house which is being started at this wedding. The small deer remind us of the beautiful metaphor of Song of Songs, where the beloveds are compared to the charming deer trotting on the hills of Judea.
