Like the wedding rings, the round Ketubah in its perfect geometrical shape represents wholeness, unity, the creation of a new universe with new life in it.
The palm tree in our tradition stands for all the blessings that it brings into the world: the sweet nutritious fruit, the shade, the strong tall trunk to rely on, palm fronds to make a shelter. The circular border of verses from Song of Songs delicately echoes the bulk of text within, complementing it with its expressions of love from groom to bride and from bride to groom.
This design can be ordered hand-decorated with gold and crystals.
