Ketubah: Tree of Life
Code: HFK411
This work is set on a lush Persian background of floral designs, with the blue representing the skies and the oceans. It is crowned by the Tree of Life, containing the word 'Chai', meaning Life in Hebrew. The tree symbolizes the Garden of Eden, which is the source of creation and the flowering of Life. One Star of David frames the dove which returned to Noah with a lone olive branch in its beak, symbolizing peace and a new beginning. The other star frames the harp of David, music bringing peace and joy to one's home. At the base of the work are two Shabbat candles sitting on a table in front of a window, the moon shining on a pristine landscape.
